pulau tiga : snake island + white sandy beach

hello august!

this will be my last post for the pulau tiga trip. bear with me.... please..... hihi..

we had earlier booked the trip to snake island + pulau pasir thru the agent (much cheaper compare to book at the resort). we woke up pretty early that morning just to see the sunrise. too bad the sunrise was on the other side of the island. so, we just hang around at the jetty and wait for the breakfast time.

after taking our breakfast, off we go to the snake island which is 20 minutes boat ride from the resort. actually, there is two more island at the pulau tiga park. one is kalampunian  besar (sand island) and kalampunian kecil (snake island). 

first stop, we visited the snake island to see the sea snake. yay! we were there with two other group; the dutch & the chinese tourists. we were not so lucky at the island because not much snakes were found that time. lari kali dorang coz ramai betul orang :)

the guide only manage to found only one sea snake hidden among the rocks under the jetty. everyone is eager to touch the snake including me. yay again! only few of the chinese tourist were brave enough to touch it. actually, i don't like snake but once in a while can touch mah provided it is safe. hehe..

we spend around 20 minutes at the snake island. the next destination is the one that i'm looking forward to which is the sand island. i remember last time when i saw my sister's pics, the island is totally a white sandy beaches island. with no trees. now, the island is so green, white and blue in colour. okay la, i present to you all the green, white and blue pictures. hopefully it can soothes your day :)

i'm not finished yet ^__^ since this is my last post regarding pulau tiga, i must 'palayang' (show-off) all the fun + craziness of this trip..hehe..20 minutes were given to savor the beauty of the mother nature ~ white sandy beach and the crystal clear sea water.

at first, mandi laut is not in my list since i didn't have extra clothes. but then, "where there's a will, there's a way" ba kan? since we need to stop for the snorkeling slot at about 45 minutes, i said to myself alang-alang sampai tengah laut, why not jump to the wide open azure sea water? i don't want to get caught in sea sickness also ^___^ can you imagine, you doing nothing on the boat while the boat goyang-goyang? sure mabuk laut! ba, enjoy the pictures of yours truly siok sendiri mandi laut. the hubby jadi cameraman :)

thinking back about the experiences i had at pulau tiga, giving me such a proud feeling to be a sabahan. here in our own country we do have 'five star' island (yeah, support local tourism!). what i meant of 'five star' island is the beauty of mother nature. you have to experience it yourself!

after having the mud bath & get enough rest,  we're getting ready to watch the sunset. first, we need to apply the insect repellent cream since we're in pulau di mana menjelang senja sure banyak nyamuk or agas. only after applying the cream we made our way to the jetty to take as much as possible the sunset pictures. we don't want to miss a thing..kunun...miahahaha....!

pulau tiga ~ mud volcano

pulau tiga? where is that? for those who didn't know, here in sabah, pulau tiga is well known as the survivor island. remember the famous reality tv show 'the survivor'? it was there in pulau tiga they were filming the reality tv show. cool huh!? i am dying to go there for ages. it is one of my travel wish list beside fews interesting places here in sabah :)

we booked the package thru my friend who worked at the travel agent. thanks to ms liza tati coz giving us the special rate for our honeymoon trip (in may 2011) **like**. the trip is include the visit to snake island & also the sandspit, the guide told us it was known as 'pulau pasir'.

upon arriving at the pulau tiga resort, we were briefed by the staff on the activities that can be done at the island. after that, we went to our chalet to put our stuff there before going back to the meeting place & had our lunch. kenyang! we got changed & headed to the mud volcano place all by ourself. dalam hati takut juga ada apa2 *____* 30 minutes later, we arrived at the mud volcano area. kinda spooky at first coz no people there + gelap2 sikit :) if come with a large group, surely will rock the mud volcano place..best ba! make sure to wear a simple/old shirt. but better wear bikinis :) senang mau cuci ba...two piece ja kan..hahaha...! to best describe all about the place, i leave u all with the pics ya ^_^. enjoy!

at about 3.30pm, we made a move to go back to the beach & mandi laut to get rid of the mud....this time we have to walk with barefoot. need to be extra careful, takut terpijak duri ka apa ka..nasib baik selamat jg kami sampai to the beach. unhurt :) before mandi laut have to take picture at the entrance of the survivor island for kenang-kenangan. nasib baik ada white lady helping us to take our picture *mo minta dia gmbr kami byk2 tp malu la pulak* after taking pictures we berendam terus di laut..wahh....feeling fresh! after that, we went back to our chalet to take fullest bath (ada ka ni words?? antam saja la)..haha..*di laut mandi kerabau saja ba* punya susah mo kasi ilang tu lumpur dari baju..huhu...next time, better bawa two-piece ja!

survivor island

yeah..our honeymoon time! it was such a fine day when we arrived at kuala penyu. i've been told by my friend; liza that the boat will departure from the jetty at 10am. so we had arranged our time earlier to depart from home at 6.30am to make sure we arrived early (takut kana tinggal bot ^_^). yang penting we're not rushing to get there on time. so off we go to kuala penyu. i kissed my nephew before we depart (sempat lagi coz he lepak2 at my room kan. awal ba dia bangun). we singgah kedai kolombong to beli newspaper & momom for our small breakfast. so we're off to kuala penyu. on the way to kuala penyu, we saw  accidents along the way. eeeee..need to drive carefully oo....

thank god for the smooth journey we had all the way to kuala penyu. we arrived there at  about 9am. we had ample of time to rest & had breakfast before going to the island. it was a hot sunny day that day. we had  kon lo mee isi ikan as our breakfast.sangat sedap & recommended to anyone who come visit little town of kuala penyu :-) the thing is, i forgot the shop's name..hehe..

after that we went to the jetty to catch the first boat to the island. but too bad we need to wait for the 2nd trip since a bunch of visitors had filled up the 2 boat on the 1st trip.huh! but, hey we can do cam-whoring while waiting for the 2nd trip boat ^_^

we departed from the jetty at 11am & the boat ride took about 25 minutes to arrive at the island. nasib laut tenang masa tu (teringat kembali pengalaman waktu balik dari pulau mantanani ke kota belud..sungguh mengerikan..hehe)..

ok, i will continue the survivors story in my next post! need to have my beauty sleep now (doi dogo, beauty kenen..mo tanga malam suda pun) hehehe..ba, gud nite peeps!
